I went to Hansworth tech in 1967\68 as a craft apprentice then on to Perry Bar poly as a student Apprentice in 1969 the year it opened. I was an apprentice at Ironbridge A then Ironbridge 'B' when it was commissioned.
The lecturer I remember most at Handsworth was the Tech Drawing master Mr (Rocky) Wall who always wanted any sweets ( Rocks he called them - hence the nick name) and was a good shot with a board rubber.
The first year at Handworth was a general engineering course covering all trades Electrical, Mechanical & C&I. I also did the HNC Conversion sessions on a Thursday evening and Friday.
