Why the Instrument Mechanic matters
An instrument mechanic plays a very important part in a power station. With the growing complexity of modern plant and the ever-increasing temperatures and pressures used, accurate instrumentation is vital. Instruments provide warning and control for equipment costing millions of pounds, and if they fail to function, serious damage may result. It is an instrument mechanic’s duty to see that they do function accurately.
