Wages.
During your period of full-time workshop training your wages will be paid weekly, by money order. On your first day at the station, tell your engineer responsible the name of the post office to which it should be paid. With your money order you will also be given a receipt card which you should sign and return immediately. When you return to the station your wages will be paid to you there.

Expenses.
During the full-time workshop training course you will be
able to claim the following expenses:-

Meals: One shilling per day towards the cost of the
lunch in the college canteen.
Travel:  The difference in cost between what you would
pay to travel from your home to the power station,
and what it costs to travel from your digs (or
home) to the college workshop.

If you have to live away from home, during the full-time workshop course, the cost of your accommodation will be paid by the Board. When you are back at a power station you can claim excess traveling expenses for your one day a week attendance at technical college. Your engineer responsible will give you any further details you need.
