	Pensions.
		At the age of eighteen you will have the opportunity of joining the Board's pension scheme, subject to your having twelve months' service. The contributions are approximately 5% of your wages and this will provide pension benefits at the retirement age of sixty-five. Full details of the Generating Board's scheme will be given to you when you have the option of joining it. If you decide not to join the scheme then at a later date when your earnings exceed £9.0.0d per week you will be required to contribute to the Ministry of Pensions and National Insurance Graduated Pension Scheme.
	Agreements.
		When you have completed your twelve months probationary period arrangements will be made to issue you with an apprenticeship agreement. You and your guardian will be asked to sign the agreement. All the formalities should have been completed and you should have your agreement approximately 18 months after the start of your apprenticeship.
	Technical Colleges.
		During your apprenticeship you will spend a lot of time at technical college. The work you do at college is a vital part of your training, and it is very important that you should work hard there. You should also remember, when you are at college, that you will be known as a Generating Board apprentice. For these reasons, and because you are paid during your day release, it will be considered that while at technical college you are at work. You should obey the instructions given you by your teacher or instructor at college.
