No. 2 T/A.   This machine is still out of commission pending the return of the rotor after a rewind at the manufacturers. Recently their representatives carried out crack detection tests on the steam rotors, and evidence of corrosion fatigue was found on stages Nos. 27 and 28. These stages have since been removed by machining, and pending the manufacture of new stages, the whole is to be reassembled, the estimated reduction in output being approximately 1.6 MWs.

The stop valve has been dismantled, and it was found that the gland bush required renewal. The valve and seat have also been refaced.
